Justify your reasons to why you used these locations? The reasons why we used the two locations that we had which were in Barnham Broom and Wymondham is because they were easy to access as we live in the village and town so we didnt have to worry about transport to get to the location. Another bonus of using these locations is that we didnt have to ask anyone for permission to use the facillites therefore we could just get to the location when it was quite and film. The final reason why we used these locations is that we felt is was the best suited place we could find so that it fit well and worked with our plot line. How did this setting help you contruct a mise en scene? Using this location we were able to use props that were already placed there such as the board that alfie gets chucked into meant we didnt have to make something or get something that the unknown man could hit him with. Barnham Broom Park and Jack's House Have you thought about the weather conditions and availability of the location? We have arranged a date were we can use jacks house in order to film the first scene of our opening which will be the 2nd of January so we will have all morning to get all the footage required and then as we move on to the car park it is a public area therefore we are getting up early in order to avoid the cars parked in there so we have a wide space to work with when filming. We have looked at the weather for that day and it looks like the conditions will be fine to work with but we will decide on the day but at the moment with are sticking with that day. Why is this location so good for what are you trying to achieve?    This location is our first choice as its in a village away from major roads and people therefore this prevents us redoing sections over and over again as there will be no background noise to intervene with the dialogue...

My Ideas so far... 1)    Quite simply, your idea for your film opening so far. The idea was to use a main character whom was similar age to us as a main character because it would help us make the film realistic and create a more accurate film based on our own knowledge. He would be a sporty character yet again based on our similar hobbies and we would base the opening scene on full focus on him to character build and help understand him rather than the plot. He would be preparing for a routinely run for fitness. however we would add tension and end with a cliff-hanger, seeing the main charter to portray as a 'good guy' and also add tension on suspense upon seeing an injured civilian and having a rush to saving the boy. we wold have a dramatic cliff hanger at the end of the scene to make the audience to continue to watch the film and to not make it boring. we focused more on camera shots and angles and character building rather than the plot so we leave questions to the...

Plot synopsis We have constructed a current film idea to use for our coursework which we will hopefully create, improve and finish over a two month period. We have been given the task of creating the first two minutes of the film to use as our final piece. The genre will be based on Action and will be an action pumping film full of energy and present time middle class situations. The Location we used is locally and we will use my house due to my self feels similar to the character from the film and the house is suitable for the film, likewise the surroundings. We will use two characters whom one is a friend and the other a family member willing to contribute. Examples of three existing professional films:   Forest Gump:  The plot is not very well introduced due to there not being much dialog and the main part of the opening scene is a feather flying around in the air which finally lands at a mans feet assumed to be Forest Gump. Therefore you cant guess what is going to happen due to there not being a base to work off. There was one main character in the film opening who was sitting on a bench waiting for a bus but we are still unsure who he is due to lack of dialog. It seems to have one location which is a town, the feather fly's past different thing in the town such as a church but the main focus is a bus stop. The credits of people involved in the making of the film just appear as the feather is floating around the town, its in a basic font which is clear and easy to read. Sound What are the conventions of music in film openings in the following genres; Comedy -  music is very important when showing a trailer therefore the music has to fit the scene to make in more funny therefore the type of music used in comedy is generally upbeat and joyful music to create a humorous atmosphere and it also emphasizes the comical side of the film. In most of the top rated comedy films they have used music such as its Now or never by El Vez, Jump man by Drake and Future and also Don't stop me know by Queen. These songs are upbeat and involve a bit of comedy but the main purpose of them is they make the scenes they are involved in more funny and better for the audience to watch.
