Barnham Broom Park and Jack's House
Have you thought about the weather conditions and availability of the location?
We have arranged a date were we can use jacks house in order to film the first scene of our opening which will be the 2nd of January so we will have all morning to get all the footage required and then as we move on to the car park it is a public area therefore we are getting up early in order to avoid the cars parked in there so we have a wide space to work with when filming. We have looked at the weather for that day and it looks like the conditions will be fine to work with but we will decide on the day but at the moment with are sticking with that day.
Why is this location so good for what are you trying to achieve?
This location is our first choice as its in a village away from major roads and people therefore this prevents us redoing sections over and over again as there will be no background noise to intervene with the dialogue we want to include in our opening. The space provided means we can keep our focus on camera shots and angles because it means we can include close ups, long and medium shots therefore it puts this location first due to the easy access we have of it. Another reason why its a good choice of location is it's local meaning we don't have to travel far to record it and if we were missing anything we wouldn't have to plan much to get another shot.
Do you have a back-up location?
At the moment we do not have another backup location this is because as a group we have decided that this location is going to fit well with what we want to produce. We also believe in a local village that contains a small population we will be able to avoid the traffic and background noise, also the public disturbance of people walking across the camera which makes things more easier for us to do.
Can the actors get to this location?
Yes, all the actors live within the village therefore it makes things even more easier for ourselves because we don't need to get transport apart from the two Jordan's as they live outside the village but they have made sure they are able to get to this location on the day.
Are you using an interior or exterior location and why?
We are going to be using an exterior location because of the following reasons; the film we have planned on producing wouldn't work on a stage, we need to include several props that we would prefer to include in a real house rather than on a stage, prevents the group from having to move props everywhere and just use jacks bedroom to record the first scene. Finally overall we feel the film would look better in an exterior location as it means we can include realistic backgrounds like a park and driveway.
