PLOT SYNOPSIS

Plot synopsis

We have constructed a current film idea to use for our coursework which we will hopefully create, improve and finish over a two month period. We have been given the task of creating the first two minutes of the film to use as our final piece. The genre will be based on Action and will be an action pumping film full of energy and present time middle class situations. The Location we used is locally and we will use my house due to my self feels similar to the character from the film and the house is suitable for the film, likewise the surroundings. We will use two characters whom one is a friend and the other a family member willing to contribute. We will also film in early hours of the morning in the sun to use natural light and also avoid the public and become distracted or delayed by bystanders or general public. we also used a soundtrack with little dialogue to stop confusion or difficulty listening and we decided that we would have no voice over or a narrator due to what we believed works.

The start of the film would be in bed where the character is asleep and woken up by a phone alarm and also the use of artificial light will be used and other props to make the room look realistic and suit the character. The use of the alarm makes the character look organised and determined but also busy to portray he is not lazy and is a determined whom is fit and healthy and often sporty which builds character building and improves the characters image. He will be quite fast to get out of bed and get changed into fitness clothes looking not rich but looks middle class. he will break into a fast paced preparation to which he will get ready to go outside in the cold and leave the house. by which the soundtrack is in chorus and at a suspense to energise the audience. The idea of black and white in the house shows how it doesn't feel real and he feels trapped in the past with a event that haunts him due to his content facial expression. with all the homely props and family photos this also makes the character look 'misplaced', alienated and hidden from the love and compassion the family gives giving the question, is it fake? or he is adopted or fostered and feels like he is an outcast. he then picks up his bottle, puts on his hat and zips up his coat and sets off. This is all done with long shots and close ups and medium shots with small and long frame rates ranging from 2 - 7 seconds depending on movement and actions.

We then film a extreme long from outside the house with the whole surrounding involved and then bring in the lighting to show  how nature and the outdoors is his world and its his escape from the troubles and the emotional and mental prison. This is the start of his jog and the brightness and colours are high and vibrant to show happiness and freedom and the day is bright and the mood is more enthusiastic and joyful giving the audience a happy feeling. The music intensifies and this creates suspense leading to an event. He is jogging through forests and still is alone and no one else is seen showing his isolation but also makes you feel this is normality and part of everyday life, maybe victim of bullying or suffer of some sort of physical or mental pain. The jog is fast and the temperature is cold giving off visible breathe in the cold air showing suffering and determination making the character build his personality by educating the audience about his emotions and personality.

After his run we get a long shot to see his alertness and sudden act to throw his bottle in attempt to be in a hurry which creates tension making the audience gasp with suspense. We cut to a shot with a disturbed child who looks in pain or unconscious and in need of assistance. The heroic act by the main character may show a resemblance to maybe he was hurt before and wants to help or maybe he is just a kind good minded person both creating a vivid personality. We cut to dialogue asking if he is okay in a hurry asking if he is okay and if he needs assistance. 999 is then called with a calm and assertive tone to receive help and save this child who's life seems on the line. yet again we as the audience ask questions as at this stage we don't know anything apart from gender or age and we wonder who, what ,where and why this character is involved and in the condition he is in. We cut with a close up as the camera shot being the child's eyes looking up at the main character fuzzy and unconscious like and not in a good way. The reaction of the main character is surprised and quick to react and reassure and is confident and collective to make sure this child stays alive. This then makes the audience wonder, what's next?

The film would continue as a boxer who fights to escape home troubles but is affected mentally with depression and mental illness and switches between the good and bad guy and how he becomes victorious in his fights yet becomes touchy with media with bad credit yet he's not to blame and he could be on suicide brink and hate the fame but throughout the film the audience sympathises and sticks on his side and its the fighting and the outbursts and constant fast action which energises the audience and creates tension leading up to the big events. This raises awareness for mentally ill and makes you feel guilty and hate towards the media and you really can become emotional throughout tough scenes as his life evolves and changes for the worst by fame and success and how he breaks free from his illness which inspires the audience.
