PRELIMINARY TASK

Based on your first draft what did you learn during your preliminary task that you want to avoid /implement/develop upon in your actual coursework? Avoid -  Things that I learnt from the preliminary task that I want to avoid is background noise, to make sure the camera has a good balance and is stable and have a variety of camera shots and angles. Background noise in the preliminary task was very awkward because of people talking in the background therefore in the coursework I would like to avoid this by making the location we chose quite and preventing any background noise so the weather would have to be appropriate to do this. Alfie Jones  Age  - 14  Profession  - Student  Likes  - Basketball, Football, Rugby, Cars, Video games, Socializing and Making friends.  Dislikes  - Seafood, People that don't know stuff about cars, School, RE, Maths and English. History  - His mum and dad divorced at a young age and ever since he's felt alone, lives with his mum but shes is always working and never around but his dad is an alcoholic so he doesn't want to see him ever again. Coursework Practice

What was the task? The task we have been set by Mr Cole is going to be completed over the half term and we have been told to put together the opening two minutes of a film. It needs to include the following things; a lady/man aged 50+, on a bus/train, a spade, a streetlight, bright clothes. The plot line we come up with has to include them ideas which includes the setting, cast, costume, prop and lighting. What elements of mise-en-scene were given? Mise-en-scene is placement of props on stage to give a realism effect or a purpose to give a scene a more realistic approach. we were given: a 50+ year old adult, colourful clothing, spade, streetlight and a bus or train. this was all chosen at random and it is very hard to link in but the art is that you can make anything with any mise-en-scene elements as it shows originality and creativity.
